Our Leadership
Kevin Anderson
President
Kevin started in the steel fabrication business over 26 years ago, working as a fabricator. Kevin has worked with Ken as a colleague and protégé for his entire career. While completing his formal education through night school, he worked his way through various positions in the business from fabricator to estimator and sales, to project management.
Ken Wilson
Founder
Ken brought over 45 years of experience in the steel fabrication and erection business, as founder and operator for Hammert’s Iron Works and Ben Hur Steel Worx, both in the St. Louis area. Ken’s companies have provided steel and erection for some of the most prolific projects in the country and with his hand at the helm, Wilson’s Structural Steel became a major player in eastern Missouri and beyond.
John Dreyer
Executive Vice President
John followed in his father’s and grandfather’s footsteps into the steel erection business, where he met Ken Wilson. In his more than 40 years in the industry, he’s excelled at estimating and sales, working as Chief Estimator for Ben Hur Steel Worx and Ben Hur Construction Company before joining Wilson’s Structural Steel.
In Memoriam:
The year 2020 marks the passing of Kenny Wilson our Founder, President, Industry Pioneer, and most importantly our friend. Kenny started his first steel fabrication business shortly after returning from Vietnam and his enlistment in the United States Navy. As the business and customer base grew, more space and equipment were needed to meet the demand. After several locations and upgrades, he built our current facility which he felt was the best of his career. Being the innovator he was, he scoured the world for the best and most efficient fabrication equipment available and the most qualified employees to operate it. His innovations and ideas in modeling and detailing have been industry-changing and much sought after. He was a “Hands-On” employer and it was not uncommon to see him in the shop wielding a hammer, operating an overhead crane or forklift. He sorely will be missed by his family, friends, employees, and peers.
